Ross Copley (BA Hons) & (Level 2 and Level 3 NVQ Technical Certificate in Plumbing)

Having graduated in 2006 from The University of Leeds, with a 2.1 in International History and Politics, Ross was heavily involved in establishing the company in its earlier years, alongside Peter. This included the development of 160 Dartford Road across 2010 and 2011, which gave the business its current office base and two flats to let.

In 2008 he trained to become a Domestic Energy Assessor Surveyor and in 2013 trained for two years in plumbing to enhance the maintenance service provided by Chappersdean LLP, while managing the portfolio individually up until 2014 at a time when the company owned 14 properties.

Ross, married and a father of three, enjoys running and cycling while fund raising for charity through those means.

Lucy Copley (City & Guilds Level 2 Technical Certificate in Electrical Installations)

Lucy began her employment career working for Peter Copley’s Facilities Management company, heading up the Human Resources department for 6 years. Here she qualified with an NVQ Level 4 Diploma in the Certificate of Personnel Practice and gained invaluable experience and skills predominantly in operations but also in maintenance and management. Her role really developed once she qualified, as she was given the opportunity to completely overhaul the Human Resource department policies and procedures, allowing her to develop brand new systems to incorporate throughout the company.

At the point when Lucy decided to leave her role in HR and join Chappersdean LLP full-time in 2014, the company had grown significantly to 14 properties and it was time to share the workload evenly between the siblings on a full-time basis. Since joining the company, Lucy has enjoyed using her previous skills and experience to work in implementing new operational systems, ranging from tenant information packs, keeping up-to-date with advertising methods and taking the rent collection process to online bank transfers including the introduction of 3 monthly Landlord Visits to help keep on top of repairs and maintenance needs.

In 2016, Lucy returned to college to study for the City & Guilds Level 2 Electrical Installations Certificate and passed with Merits and Distinctions.

In her spare time Lucy enjoys practicing yoga and is currently studying in yoga philosophy with a view to begin teacher training later on.
